Profiles and progress in Spanish-English bilinguals with language impairment: Development of a criterion reference measure
In this project we document performance in the domains of semantics and morphosyntax in Spanish-English bilinguals between the ages of 4 and 10. We are interested in understanding how performance changes as a function of ability, age, and language experience. We will develop testing sequences that can be used to determine language goals and to document progress toward those goals.
The research project is funded by the NIDCD. Bedore (PI, Temple University) and Peña (co-PI, University of California, Irvine) (2016-2021). Our collaborators are Aquiles Iglesias (U Delaware) and Gabi Simon-Cereijido (Cal State Los Angeles).
